3 Players the Redskins should consider dealing for before trade deadline
The Indianapolis Colts are not having a good season. Without Andrew Luck, the team hasn’t been able to win games. While Jacoby Brissett has looked good at times, it’s clear that this team won’t be competitive until they have Luck back. For that reason, the Colts are considering moving T.Y. Hilton, per Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio.
Hilton has had an up and down season thus far because of the presence of Brissett. Due to the quarterback’s inconsistent play, Hilton has been equally inconsistent. He has a couple of games with 150-plus receiving yards and six with 57 yards or less. Still, Hilton has talent, as evidenced by his four consecutive 1,000 yard seasons, and he would be a great fit in Washington.
The Redskins very clearly are lacking talent at the receiver position. Terrelle Pryor is a bust. Josh Doctson has barely been able to produce. And while Jamison Crowder had a breakout game this past week, he cannot carry the receiving load by himself. Bringing Hilton into the fold would give the Redskins a true No. 1 receiver who will be under contract for three years. However, the team could cut him with little dead cap space after 2018 or 2019 if he doesn’t pan out.
Of course, the Redskins may not be willing to pay the price to get Hilton. It would likely cost the team a second round pick and given that Hilton does have an eight figure salary in each of the next three seasons, the team may not want to pay that price. They have a lot of free agents after the season, so adding Hilton may not work out for the team.

Overall, the Redskins are unlikely to make a move. But adding any of these three players could help the team out as they try to add quality pieces to make a postseason run.
