To start off game day, take a look at our Redskins Week 8 prediction duel! Matt currently leads Ian with a record of 4-2. Here is Matt’s prediction:

Ian bested me last week, as I was let down by the Redskins after an injury-riddled game left both teams beaten and bruised. After so many injuries, I don’t know if the Redskins can keep up with the Cowboys offense.

Thankfully, Josh Norman is expected to return, so Dez Bryant should have a relatively quiet game, but the damage done to the Redskins’ offensive line may prove too much for the team to overcome. The Cowboys have a struggling defense, but when it comes to this rivalry matchup, it’s no holds barred.

I expect Josh Doctson to have a big game against the very weak Cowboys secondary, but I think once again, the Redskins will struggle to run the ball. If the Redskins were healthy going into the game, I’d feel very comfortable taking them in a bounce-back win. However, after what seems like half the roster was added to the injury report, I’m not so sure.

Nevertheless, I’m gonna take the Redskins in a hard fought, nasty game. This is where we find out what kind of team they really are. Can they overcome the injury adversity and bounce back in a big time game against a hated rival? If they can, and I think they can, it would solidify the Redskins as a playoff contender. I expect Kirk Cousins have a huge game as well, going for over 400 yards, and I expect a high scoring affair. The Redskins will win it, 30-27.
