The Washington Redskins have a chance to improve to 3-1 before their bye week. To do so, they must beat the Kansas City Chiefs.

Today is the day for the Washington Redskins. They have a chance to win their second primetime matchup in as many weeks as they look to take down the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs are the only undefeated team remaining in the NFL, and they have beaten supposedly strong teams like the New England Patriots and the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Redskins will have their hands full in this matchup. Andy Reid has assembled a very strong Kansas City offense that is being led by a resurgent Alex Smith. Apparently, Smith is not happy that the Chiefs traded up to get Patrick Mahomes II in the 2017 NFL Draft, and he’s trying to show the team why he is still the better option. And he is succeeding.

On defense, the Chiefs have long been one of the better units in the NFL. When their offense was weak, their defense carried the team to the postseason. They succeeded with Matt Cassel at quarterback, but now they appear to be in even better shape.

That said, Jay Gruden’s Redskins squad has been strong to start the season. Aside from a few bad turnovers, the team has been very good and looks like a potential playoff team. They are fresh off a huge win against the Oakland Raiders where they absolutely dominated the supposed contender. Greg Manusky has greatly improved the defense, and that has allowed the team to improve greatly.

While both sides are strong, the Redskins will still have a chance to notch a huge road win. Here’s a look at their keys to victory for the game in the hostile confines of Arrowhead Stadium.
