The Washington Redskins are almost ready to take on the Oakland Raiders. Here’s a look at some keys to Sunday night’s game.

The third game of the Redskins season has a chance to be one of the biggest of their season. Coming into the contest at 1-1, the Redskins have not yet been defined as a team. Right now, they are a potential packed team with a lot of possibilities. They could catch fire and make the playoffs. They could fall apart and go 5-11. Nobody knows what may happen.

One thing is certain. The Sunday night contest against the Raiders will give the Redskins a chance to have a defining moment early in the season. Are they going to be a team that steps up when in counts in a key primetime game? Or will they drop to 1-2 in an extremely competitive division without staying competitive against a top-notch opponent? Whatever happens on Sunday night, this will help the Redskins figure out more about their team.

The Redskins are playing at home, so that will hopefully help them out a bit. A raucous home crowd could help to give them energy, which is something that they have lacked in big games during the Jay Gruden era. But regardless, their on field performance, particularly in a few areas, will continue to be the most important factor for their team.

With all of that said, here is a look at the three keys to the game. The Redskins will need to accomplish these things if they want to emerge victorious on Sunday night.
