The Washington Redskins have released their Friday injury report. On it, they have five starters questionable for Sunday night’s game.

Heading into Week 2 of the NFL season, the Washington Redskins were one of the healthiest teams in the league. With a virtually blank injury report, the team was faring well and appeared to be full strength heading into Los Angeles. However, against the Rams, the team suffered countless injuries and some have carried over into this week.

On Friday, the Redskins released their injury report and head coach Jay Gruden confirmed that five starters would be questionable for the contest. Some are less surprising than others, but it does seem like many of the players in question will be ready to go.

Here is the official list, per the Redskins official Twitter account.

The names that are the most concerning on here are Jordan Reed and Rob Kelley. Reed was the only player who did miss a day of practice this week, as he didn’t participate in anything on Wednesday. Reed is dealing with a chest contusion, but it doesn’t seem like that will stop him from suiting up. In the worst case scenario, Reed may dress and be mostly a decoy, with Vernon Davis and Niles Paul playing more. Still, it seems like he will be a go and should have an impact on the game. He just may not block as much as normal.

As for Kelley, he is dealing with a rib injury that kept him out of the second half of the contest against the Rams. At the time, it was feared that Kelley may have fractured a rib. Since then, it appears that it was less serious. Kelley is going to have to manage pain, and that may cause him to split more carries than normal. After logging a couple of limited practices, it seems like he wants to play, provided that he can tolerate the pain.

On the defensive side, Mason Foster being questionable is no surprise. The starting linebacker was expected to miss the game on Wednesday, but things quickly took a turn for the better in practice. His shoulder doesn’t appear to be as big of a problem as initially anticipated, and he wants to play, per Mike Jones of the Washington Post.

As for Montae Nicholson and Josh Norman, they too seem likely to play. Neither is considered to be playing with a major injury and both toughed it through the L.A. contest. More likely than not, their shoulder injuries are being listed as formalities. Especially in the case of Nicholson, who had labrum surgery this offseason.
