Redskins vs. Bengals: Game preview, how to watch, and more
By Ian Cummings
The Redskins play their first Sunday game of the year tomorrow. It’s only Week 3 of preseason. But this game is their most important yet.
All eyes will be on the first team offense as the unit looks to improve on what’s been an utterly horrid start to the 2017 campaign. Kirk Cousins has been off, missing his receivers consistently, the offensive line has given Robert Kelley, whose job itself isn’t safe, no room to run, and receivers have dropped catchable passes as well. It’s a checklist for quality, and the Washington’s play thus far doesn’t check many boxes.
It’s only preseason, but nevertheless, seeing the team do this bad makes it impossible for fans to feel good about the upcoming season. The Redskins will hope to change that in tomorrow’s game. Widely considered the dress rehearsal for the regular season, the first-team offense will be out on the field for at least until halftime. Among other storylines, some new kids on the block will get extended looks on defense, and it’ll be against a reasonably tough opponent in the Bengals.
The game starts at 4:30 PM, and will be broadcast nationally on FOX Sports. You’ll have the pleasure of watching the great Joe Buck beside Troy Aikman tomorrow afternoon. It’ll almost be like a regular season game! Regionally, the game will also be played on CSN Mid-Atlantic. I’ll let you use personal preference if you live in the D.C. area, but Joe Buck is hard to pass up.
If for any reason, you can’t watch on television, don’t fret. There’s other methods for you to get.
