The Washington Redskins had two selections during the second day of the 2017 NFL Draft. They added a couple of impact players with their picks, and here is a look at their grades.

Coming into the 2017 NFL Draft, the Washington Redskins were always going to focus on the defensive side of the ball. They had a strong offense in 2016, but lacked a competent defense as they tried to contend for a playoff spot. After an 8-7-1 record, the team knew that they needed to get some upgrades, and they have obviously focused on doing that thus far during the draft.

With their first round pick, the team selected Alabama defensive lineman Jonathan Allen. The team’s biggest weakness was on the defensive line, and Allen was one of the only down lineman that was worthy of a first round pick. He was widely considered to be a top five pick, and that was a steal.

On Day 2, the Redskins stuck to the defensive agenda, and they actually went with another defensive player from Alabama. They selected edge rusher Ryan Anderson to fill a need at that position. In round three, the team selected cornerback Fabian Moreau as they looked to shore up their secondary.

With all that said, it is time to look at the grades the Redskins earned for their Day 2 picks.
