29. Green Bay Packers: RB Joe Mixon, Oklahoma

Boom. Joe Mixon is a first round pick. The Packers have a great deal of interest in upgrading their running back position, and they are being connected to the Oklahoma running back. Mixon is well-known for punching a woman in the face during a 2014 incident, but he possesses excellent on-field talent. He does not deserve to be a first round pick, but in this case, the reward may outweigh the risk for the Packers.

30. Pittsburgh Steelers: QB DeShone Kizer, Notre Dame

WalterFootball.com’s Charlie Campbell recently reported that the Steelers are gauging interest in DeShone Kizer. He is widely considered to be one of the quarterbacks with the most upside in this draft class. The Steelers could develop Kizer for the next couple of years leading up to the inevitable retirement of Ben Roethlisberger. This would be a wise pick that could be reminiscent of the Aaron Rodgers selection.

31. Chicago Bears (Trade Up With Falcons): QB Deshaun Watson, Clemson

I had to put one last trade in to make sure Deshaun Watson got selected. Watson could go in the mid-teens, but I think that he is more likely to be a late-first round prospect. He just does not look like a solid pro to me, and I think it will take him years to grasp the pro-style offenses in the NFL.

The Bears have a quarterback with upside in Mike Glennon, but they could add a developmental backup as well. They move up to ensure that no other team jumps them for Watson. Meanwhile, the Falcons can move down and will still have a chance at one of the top pass rushers on the board.

32. New Orleans Saints: S Obi Melifonwu, UConn

The Saints need to add a defensive back to go along with the defensive end they added with their earlier pick. Obi Melifonwu is an athletic freak who will fit very well in the Saints defense. He could play as a starting third safety and may have the ability to be a slot cornerback as well.
