25. Houston Texans: QB Pat Mahomes, Texas Tech

The Texans need a quarterback, and Pat Mahomes is, in my opinion, the best passer in this draft class. Mahomes has excellent arm strength and good mobility that will allow him to develop into a solid starter. The Texans are torn between him and Deshaun Watson, but they should absolutely choose the Texas Tech prospect. He has so much upside and Bill O’Brien would be able to work with that.

26. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Trade Down with Seahawks): RB Dalvin Cook, Florida State

The Buccaneers moved down with their eyes on a couple of prospects. In this scenario, they get the player that they coveted at No. 19 all along. Dalvin Cook is a potential three-down back who the Buccaneers can use as their top option. This would take pressure off Doug Martin and would allow Jameis Winston to have a strong receiving back. The Bucs should be a bit worried about Cook’s character concerns, but getting him at 26 is a terrific value.

27. Kansas City Chiefs: DE Taco Charlton, Michigan

Jaye Howard was released by the Chiefs just a couple of days ago. Andy Reid loves adding players to his offensive and defensive lines. One of the best players left on the board is Taco Charlton. This move would make too much sense, and it seems like this is a strong possibility if Charlton falls into the mid-late 20s.

28. Dallas Cowboys: DE Takkarist McKinley, UCLA

Randy Gregory has not been able to stay out of trouble thus far during his NFL career. The Cowboys need to add an edge rusher, and they seems to like Takkarist McKinley. They need to add some athleticism to their defensive front, and McKinley would give them just that. Another option for this pick would be Washington cornerback Kevin King.
