November: 5 Games

This month will be an absolute grind for the Redskins. This is where having an early bye week could really cause some problems for them.

  • The Redskins start off with the impossible task of travelling to Seattle and looking for a win. The Seahawks, notorious for their “12th man,” have one of the loudest stadiums in professional sports. Their homefield advantage is very hard to break, and provided that they are healthy, they are an excellent matchup against the Redskins. This one will certainly be hard for Gruden and company to win.

In the next two weeks, the team will take on the Minnesota Vikings at home and the New Orleans Saints on the road. While both teams have weaknesses, they both will be uniquely difficult opponents for the Redskins to take down. The Vikings could ride their elite defense to a low-scoring win, provided that Sam Bradford can play well enough on offense to score some points. The Saints would be the polar opposite. They would have to ride their offense to a victory, which is possible, given how unproven the Redskins defense could be.

To close out the month, the Redskins will play two more primetime games. The first is a big one. Washington will be hosting their first Thanksgiving game in franchise history and will take on the New York Giants. The game will be huge, as it is their first against the Giants in 2017. Washington has a 2-7 record in their Thanksgiving career, but perhaps having a home game will help them out.

The final game of the month involves a trip to Jerry-land. Week 13 will take place in Dallas on the final day of November. It will be the second consecutive Thursday night game for the Redskins, and they will likely be exhausted from a grueling month. Hopefully the competitive juices will be flowing enough to notch them a win.
