The Washington Redskins are all the buzz this week. Finally, there’s something to really talk about.

This week you may have read about the  Redskins signing Kirk Cousins to an Exclusive Franchise Tag. I’m sure you’ve read about how Jay Gruden feels the team will be just fine without wide receivers Pierre Garcon and DeSean Jackson.  And what about general manager Scot McCloughan? But you may have missed some of these stories flying under the radar.

Take Redskins Tight End Vernon Davis, for example.

According to CSN-Mid Atlantic, Davis has expressed his interest in returning for another season. His top reason? Head coach Jay Gruden:

"“Jay Gruden is probably one of my favorite coaches, all-time,” Davis told Finlay. “And I say that because of his personality, his enthusiasm, his approach to the game. He’s just a terrific coach. Everyone respects him, they look to him as a leader. He’s just everything you could possibly want in a coach.”"

Davis finished last season catching 44 for 583 yards. He was targeted 59 times. He also had two touchdowns and averaged 13 yards per catch.
