player. 13. The Chargers have a lot of needs that need to be addressed.  They need a quarterback of the future, more talent on the offensive line and more depth at wide receiver.  However, now that they’ve signed Dwight Lowery, free safety is no longer their biggest need. With the loss of starting defensive end Kendall Reyes, the Chargers have a spot open on the D-line.  Joey Bosa is the higher rated player between he and DeForest Buckner.  However, with the Chargers running a 3-4 defense, that means Buckner is the better scheme fit. Bosa could grow into a five technique defensive end but at 6’7, 291 Buckner is already there.  He can also function as an edge rusher when the Chargers move to a 4-3 nickel defense.  That kind of versatility makes him the ideal choice for the Chargers a number 3.    NFL Mock Draft.
