Redskins Big Board 8.0 – 2016 NFL Draft

This is a big board ranked to the specific needs of the Washington Redskins and not the NFL.  Players the Redskins might be drafting with their first pick.  It’s possible the Redskins might trade down in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft too, so we rank players into the second round as well.

32.  Jaylon Smith, LB – Notre Dame:(6-3, 240) Projected Round – 2nd.  Jaylon Smith stock has dropped as it seems he may not be able to play in 2016.  He suffered a devastating knee injury late last season.  It was discovered at the NFL Combine that they injury may be worse than originally thought  Smith may need time to recover.  However, when healthy he’s arguably the best linebacker in the 2016 NFL Draft.  The Redskins could use a player like Jaylon Smith and he has the ability to play inside or outside linebacker.     LW #32

31.  Braxton Miller, WR – Ohio State:  (6-1, 204) Projected Round – 2nd.  Braxton Miller stood out among some good wide receiver prospects in senior bowl practices and his athleticism makes him an intriguing prospect.  He’s still learning how to be a receiver as he spent most of his career at Ohio State as a quarterback.  But with more time and coaching at wide receiver, Braxton Miller could become a very dangerous weapon to the Redskins offense.   LW #26
