Redskins NFL Free Agency Mock: Who will Skins Sign?

With NFL Free Agency approaching, it’s time to take a look at what players the Washington Redskins should target.  Although Redskins general manager Scot McCloughan recently stated that the team won’t be big players in free agency, they’ll still need to sign some players.

The players that are signed will need to be what McCloughan calls “legit football guys”.  Players who believe more in the team concept than themselves.  Scot McCloughan stated that he doesn’t believe in splurging in free agency and wants to build more through the NFL Draft.

If the Redskins do want to bring both DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon back, then they won’t be spending big money on a wide receiver.  I don’t think they’ll sign a high-priced running back either.  I think they’ll draft a receiver and a running back as opposed to spending money on them.

At center I think the Redskins will go with a combination of Spencer Long, Kory Lichtensteiger along with a rookie that they’ll take in the draft.  They still have Austin Reiter to compete for a roster spot too.

That leaves nose tackle, free safety, backup quarterback, pass rusher, slot cornerback and inside linebacker to sign in free agency.  Here are the players I think the Redskins will sign:
