The Redskins found a quality starter at cornerback last season in second-year man Bashaud Breeland. I think Breeland emerged as the Redskins top corner with an upside to become even better.  However, the other starting cornerback for now is a question mark.

It seems the Redskins want last year’s free-agent signing Chris Culliver to return next season. But he’s recovering from a torn ACL and ma not be ready for the start of next season.  But other than rookie Quinton Dunbar the Redskins don’t have much depth at the position.

At safety the Redskins skew a little old.  As Dashon Goldson and DeAngelo Hall for now appear to be the starters returning in 2016.  However, both are over the age of 30 and the Redskins must find more youth to develop for the future.

Goldson is in danger of being released if he and the Redskins can’t find a way to restructure his contract. Goldson is due $8 million in 2016 but that is too high a price for what he brings to the table.  If Goldson is released the Redskins could sign a free agent for a much cheaper sum.
