28.  Jaylon Smith, LB – Notre Dame: (6-3, 240) Projected Round – 1st.  Likelihood on the Board when Redskins Pick – Good.  Jaylon Smith suffered a devastating knee injury late in the season so he will need time to recover.  However, when healthy he’s arguably the best linebacker in the 2016 NFL Draft.  The Redskins could use a player like Jaylon Smith and he has the ability to play inside or outside linebacker.  Unfortunately, it seems as though Jaylon Smith might have to miss the entire 2016 season to recover from his knee injury.  If that’s true his stock will drop significantly.   LW # 14

27.  Austin Johnson, DT – Penn State: (6-4, 323) Projected Round – 2nd. The Redskins run defense is in need of an upgrade.  One of the best way to help improve against the run is to add more talent to the defensive line and Austin Johnson has the size and talent help give the Redskins another option at nose tackle and defensive end.  LW # 28
