2016 NFL Draft
Apr 12, 2014; Columbus, OH, USA; Ohio State scarlet team cornerback Eli Apple (13) celebrates his squad /

16.  Eli Apple, CB – Ohio State: (6-1, 200) Projected Round – 1st-2nd.  Likelihood on the Board when Redskins Pick – Good.  The Redskins need more depth at cornerback.  They struggled with injuries at the position all season long and need more options.  Eli Apple has the kind of size that general manager Scot McCloughan likes at 6’1, 200.  He can play physical in press coverage and is a sure tackler in run support.  LW # 14

15.  Kevin Dodd, DE – Clemson:  (6-5, 275) Projected Round – 1st.  Kevin Dodd isn’t the prototypical 3-4 defensive end but he has the kind of pass rushing ability that the Redskins would find it hard to ignore.  They need more playmakers on the defensive line and they could find a way to get him involved.  LW # 13
