Wide Receiver. Ole Miss. Laquon Treadwell. 4. player. 123.
Here’s another surprise pick for you.
<div class=

There are a lot of different directions the Cowboys could go in with the No. 4 overall pick. Some think a quarterback could be a consideration if Goff or Wentz slip, while the defensive line is also in play. However, with the way things went this past season, I’m thinking Dallas could ultimately opt to take a wide receiver.

Now obviously they already have Dez Bryant, a true No. 1 receiver who is currently signed to a long-term deal. However, a quick look at the depth chart doesn’t offer much excitement. Terrance Williams was wildly inconsistent when Bryant went down with injury, and Cole Beasley came and went as well. Devin Street hasn’t lived up to expectations, Lucky Whitehead is a one-trick pony and Brice Butler isn’t exactly a reliable option either.

By bringing aboard Treadwell, the Cowboys would immediately have one of the best wide receiver duos in the NFL. The Ole Miss product is often compared to A.J. Green, which is saying a lot about his overall skill set. Especially with Bryant often battling injuries, having another star to throw to would certainly make life easier for Tony Romo as he attempts his own comeback in 2016.
