Kendall Fuller. 29. player. 32.
Two of the Cardinals’ top three cornerbacks are scheduled to hit free agency in 2016, which doesn’t bode well for what was one of the better secondaries this past season. It also doesn’t help that Tyrann Mathieu will be returning from a season-ending injury. Hence why adding some defensive back talent should be a priority this offseason.
<div class=. Cornerback. Virginia Tech

The selection of Fuller is a risky move, but one the Cardinals can afford to make. He’s coming off of a 2015 season that ended way too early due to a knee injury. Prior to the injury, though, many considered him a Top-15 talent and sure-fire first-round pick. Fuller is expected to be back to full health by the time next season rolls around, so he should be good to go if the Cardinals gave him the opportunity.

Fuller is the next in a long line of NFL talent, and has drawn numerous comparisons to his older brother, Kyle, who was the No. 14 overall selection back in 2014. While there’s still plenty of work to do with his overall technique in coverage, the Virginia Tech product certainly has the instincts and skill set to be a big-time playmaker at the next level. Coming up under the tutelage of Patrick Peterson would certainly help, too.
