Year after year, the Raiders find a way to draft one of the class’ best players despite not having a Top 3 pick. They did it in 2014 with Khalil Mack, who has a case for being the best linebacker in the NFL. They did it in 2015 with Amari Cooper, who proved as a rookie that he’s ready to be a legitimate star in Oakland for years to come. So why not do it again in 2015 with Jack?
<div class=. Inside Linebacker. UCLA. Myles Jack. 14. player. 28

Jack saw his draft stock take a small hit when a knee injury ended his final season at UCLA, but it’s clear that scouts still see him as a can’t-miss talent. Luckily for the Raiders, the knee may scare enough early first-round teams away to allow him to fall to No. 14. And that would be another huge boost for an Oakland (or Las Vegas, or San Antonio, or San Diego?) defense that saw significant improvements in 2015.

A defense that included Jack, Mack, Malcolm Smith and possibly Aldon Smith is one to be afraid of. The Raiders are improving year after year, and having the former Bruin fall into their laps at No. 14 would be another sign that this team deserves to be taken seriously.
