Defensive Tackle. Ole Miss. Robert Nkemdiche. 12. player. 15.
There are a number of directions the Saints could go here, especially with the way the 2015 campaign played out. They need more offensive playmakers, but the pitiful play on defense warrants an absolute overhaul. It’s going to be a busy offseason, but that just means the team is going to have to take some risks in order to get better.

That’s exactly what drafting Nkemdiche would be. By what everyone has seen and heard over the last couple of months, the former Ole Miss star and top recruit’s passion for the game has come into question. Although there’s no denying he has the physical tools to shine in the NFL, it’s difficult to spend a first-round pick on a player whose heart really isn’t in it–especially when you mix millions of dollars into the equation.

Still, the Saints have a strong locker room and one of the most respected head coaches in the league. If there’s any team that can bring the best out in Nkemdiche, it’s New Orleans. He’s certainly a roll of the dice, but Nkemdiche can surely shine in the Big Easy with players like Drew Brees and Cameron Jordan watching out for him. As long as pre-draft interviews go well, I could see the Saints taking a shot on the massively talented former Rebel.
