Will the Redskins re-sign Terrance Knighton?

Up to this point, Knighton has made it clear that he wants to re-sign with the Redskins. Unfortunately, there’s no telling how his situation could play out this offseason, especially with Washington likely to be desperate for cap space when they’re done re-signing Cousins.

So what should they do? Well, there are certainly some mixed opinions on whether or not Knighton deserves a new deal with the Redskins. He seemed to play well and served his purpose as a run-stuffing nose tackle, but didn’t quite live up to the expectation as a top-tier difference maker. Knighton didn’t produce the same type of highlight plays he did during his days in Denver, which has turned some folks off of the idea of him returning to D.C.

Knighton hauled in $4 million in an incentive-laden deal last season, but will likely be demanding a larger contract heading into 2016. Did the Redskins see enough to warrant throwing even more money at him this offseason? Again, the jury is split, but I would put my money on Knighton playing elsewhere when the 2016 season finally rolls around.
