At some point before NFL free agency begins on March 9, the Washington Redskins will release Robert Griffin III. It’s a move that we’ve all known was coming since the start of the 2015 campaign, and the emergence of Kirk Cousins essentially sealed his fate.

So what’s next for Griffin? There should be decent interest in the former Pro Bowler and Offensive Rookie of the Year, but his past couple of seasons have also soured teams on his ability to make plays and stay healthy. At some point, though, he’ll sign somewhere.

Now, I’m taking a look at a few sleeper teams who could emerge as legitimate landing spots for Griffin once he hits the open market. Some may be stretches, but stranger things happen in the NFL every day. I mean, who was expecting RG3 to be in this situation after such a promising rookie season?
