NFC East: 5 reasons Chip Kelly failed as Eagles HC

Yes, I know Chip Kelly has a career record of 26-21 in his three seasons as head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles.  So why is it that I consider him a failure even though he had a winning record in his time there?

Well first and foremost it’s because after a strong start in his first season the team began trending downward in his last two, leading to the Eagles firing him before his third season was even complete.  They couldn’t wait to get him out of there.

It’s not often that you see a coach get fired with a winning record but there are reasons that Chip Kelly got fired by the Eagles.  We’ll take a look at those reasons and if he doesn’t correct them then the same will happen now that he’s head coach of the San Francisco 49ers.
