The Washington Redskins haven’t beaten the Buffalo Bills since the 1992 Super Bowl when they won 37-24. The Redskins may be due for a win after losing all six games versus Buffalo over the past 23 seasons. A loss by the Bills could eliminate them from playoff contention while the game is not as essential to the Redskins.

The Redskins should keep up their steady play at home and beat the Bills. Buffalo will be playing their second consecutive game on the road and fifth in the last six weeks. This is a distinct advantage for the Redskins as they seek to wrap up their first division title since 2012.

Take the Redskins +2.5 points over the Bills.

The Arizona Cardinals are chasing the Carolina Panthers for the best record in the NFC and home field edge throughout the playoffs. They travel to Philadelphia to play the Eagles this week having won four away games in a row and six of seven for the season. The travel across the country is negated by the nine days off they have had since beating Minnesota 23-20.

Philadelphia has won two games in a row with wins over the Patriots and Bills. They won versus a depleted New England team with big plays on defense and special teams while the Bills gave away the game with multiple penalties. In the games previous to those, the Eagles were blown out by scores of 45-14 to the Lions and 45-17 to the Buccaneers.

I expect the Cardinals to handle Philadelphia in much the same way and win easily. Take the Cardinals -3.5 over the Eagles in my Best Bet of the Week.

Cardinals -3.5 over the Eagles

My final Top Pick of the Week is the undefeated Carolina Panthers. Carolina is favored by four points on the road over the New York Giants. They have beaten 11 of their 13 opponents by at least four points with three point victories in New Orleans and over the Colts in Carolina.

Meanwhile, the Giants are coming off of a Monday night road game so they are at a significant rest disadvantage. Although they have had a very effective offense at times with Odell Beckham Jr. having a spectacular season, the Giants will find it a lot harder to beat Panther cornerback Josh Norman as he is likely to shadow Beckham for most of the game.

Defensively, New York is no match for Cam Newton and the Carolina offense. Take the Panthers -4 over the Giants

I also like the Bears, Patriots, Seahawks and Broncos this week. The Redskins win over the Bears last week pushed my Best Bet record to 9-6 on the season. My Top Bet record is 32-27-1 with the only loss being the Raiders comeback win over the Broncos. My overall record is 77-48-4 on NFL games.

I went 2-2-1 on Saturday’s college bowl games with a 1-1-1 record on College Top Bets and 1-0 on the College Best Bet of the Week with Louisiana Tech. For my college bowl game picks and up dates on NFL picks, please follow me on twitter @westcoast_skins. Good luck this week!
