Trending Up: Ryan Kerrigan, OLB
Ryan Kerrigan had emerged as the Washington Redskins best defensive player last season after notching 13.5 sacks. Even though he had surgery on his knee in the offseason, much was still expected of Kerrigan in 2015, possibly an even bigger performance.
However, after four games Kerrigan had only had 1.5 sacks on the season and the Redskins defense was in need of him to come alive as a pass rusher and boy did he against the Atlanta Falcons. Kerrigan had his best game of the season with 2 sacks on quarterback Matt Ryan.

When he wasn’t sacking Matt Ryan, Kerrigan supplied pressure off the edge consistently and made life miserable for the Falcons quarterback. This was the kind of performance that the Redskins need to get from Kerrigan each week.
With all of the injuries the Redskins are experiencing so far this season, Kerrigan’s iron man persona is a welcomed part of the defense as he’s still has yet to miss a game in his career. Now they just need him to create havoc for Ryan Fitzpatrick and the Jets offense.
