The Bad – Part 1

1. Turnovers

This was an absolute nightmare come to life in this game.  The Redskins came in knowing what happened last season against the Giants and it happened again as the Redskins had three turnovers Thursday night while the Giants had none.

All three turnovers were back breakers too, in fact they’re probably the major difference in the outcome of the game.  Quarterback Kirk Cousins had two interceptions while running back Matt Jones lost a fumble.

Cousins first interception came early in the game and while it was good that Cousins got the ball out of his hands quickly, he did what he typically does on his picks.  He threw a risky pass and gave both his receiver and the defender a shot to catch the ball.

Instead of throwing it low where only receiver Pierre Garcon could catch it, he threw it to a spot where cornerback Prince Amukamara could jump the route.  Yes, it was a good play by Amukamara but Cousins’ throw was too far out in front of Garcon and Amukamara had a better chance to catch it than he did.
