2010 – Eric Berry, SS – Kansas City Chiefs

Eric Berry has been a very good safety for the Kansas Chiefs since they selected him with the fifth pick of the 2010 draft.  He was selected to the pro bowl as a rookie and also in 2012 and 2013.  He was also an All-Pro in 2013 as well.

However, injuries and illness have kept Berry from realizing his full potential.  He had a torn ACL and missed the entire 2012 season and in 2014 missed a large part of the season with a high ankle sprain.

Berry was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma late in the 2014 season.  So Berry will now be concentrating trying to get healthy and football is on the back burner.

Grade: B+ – Berry has lived up to his top five draft status when he’s been healthy, so this was a good pick by the Chiefs as injuries and illness are hard to predict.

Next: 2009 - Mark Sanchez, QB - New York Jets
