2012 – Justin Blackmon, WR – Jacksonville Jaguars
Justin Blackmon began his career with the Jaguars flashing the kind of talent one would expect from a top five draft pick. As rookie he had 64 catches for 865 yards and 5 TD’s. he was expected to improve on his rookie performance in 2013 but it wasn’t to be.
As Blackmon was suspended by the NFL for the first four games of the 2013 season for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. And Blackmon only played in 4 games in 2013 before he was suspended indefinitely for another violation of the substance abuse policy.
Blackmon missed the entire 2014 season and has yet to be reinstated by the NFL.
Grade: D+ – When he’s played, Justin Blackmon has lived up to his billing as a top five draft pick. The Jaguars drafted a good player, they just been able to keep him on the field due to his violating NFL policy.
Next: 2011 - Patrick Peterson, CB - Arizona Cardinals
