The Redskins appear to be taking on a new attitude and regaining their confidence. Last year was a disappointing year but a lot was happening within the organization. Coach Gruden was coming in and changing everything over to his new system.

RG3 was still not fully 100% healthy and had a lot of pressure on him to return the team to the playoffs. The confidence of everyone seemed to falter and frustration was building.

"Just this week RG3, in an interview with Larry Michael on Redskin Nation, said “We learned our lessons and we want to move forward this year and be successful”. I believe the Redskins come in every year with a mindset to be successful and to go to the Superbowl. No one shows up to work with plans of failing."

The first couple of games of a season set the tone. It’s at some point following those games that a mindset is made and confidence is built or crushed. I’m not saying you cannot turn a season around but the team will need a leader to make that happen. Is RG3 that leader and do his teammates have 100% confidence and trust in him?

RG3 went on to say “It’s not about talking about it; it’s about being about it”. The old saying that talk is cheap or show me the money, well the Redskin fan base is saying show us the money, bring us some championships.

He went on to say “That’s what my goal is this entire offseason. You got to talk small, play big, take care of the little things for the big things and everything will fall into place.” That statement is golden and if the team believes and does that then we can prepare to see our beloved Skins in the playoffs.

Coach Gruden and RG3 are working together to make this a successful year. I do not know how they truly feel toward each other but you have to put your personal feelings aside and if they go to the playoffs I think they will grow fond of each other eventually.

RG3 added that they were going to put in the work to win a lot more games than last year. The funny thing is I am falling into the hype but I am hoping that it is not all hype. I do not expect to see them blowing teams out of the water starting in the preseason. I do expect to see a good and confident football team that does make small changes and improves week after week.

Is it crazy to think the Redskins can go to the playoffs this year or win the division? Absolutely not, I believe they can. They have some great players and play makers all over the field. If they keep lifting each other up, staying confident and positive and focus on one week at a time we can see great things happen.

It is RG3 that has to make this happen and it has to start now in the offseason workouts. He is the leader of the team and his confidence will boil over to the rest of the team. He will set the tone for this team going into and during the 2015 season.

It also falls on us the fans, we cannot be week to week fans. You are either a Redskins fan or you are not. We have to support them during the good and bad. If we believe and don’t give up they will feed off of our energy during the games.

The fans are a huge part of the team during games. Would you play your heart out if the stands were half empty and the fans had given up on you? Let’s be loud, let’s be obnoxious and let’s be Redskins fans! HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!!
