2015 NFL Draft – Redskins Team Needs – 3.0
Dec 28, 2014; Santa Clara, CA, USA; San Francisco 49ers cornerback Chris Culliver (29) intercepts the ball on a pass from Arizona Cardinals quarterback Ryan Lindley (14, not pictured) during the third quarter at Levi
7. Cornerback
The Redskins went out and signed one of the top free agent cornerbacks available in Chris Culliver. He had a break out season last year for the San Francisco 49ers and the Redskins are hoping that translates to big things in the future for their defense.
The Redskins have a solid foundation behind Culliver with young corners Bashaud Breeland and David Amerson, but depth behind them is still up in the air. DeAngelo Hall is recovering from a torn Achilles, so it’s unknown how effective he will be once the season starts.
Tracy Porter was slowed by injuries all last season, so if he can stay healthy that will be a plus for the Redskins. They may still want to draft another corner to add to mix just to be on the safe side. LW # 5
