What if the Redskins can’t Trade Down?

If the Redskins are unable to trade out of the 5th pick in the first round, they will probably face of choice of a deep group of pass rushing OLBs. Dante Fowler, Vic Beasley, Randy Gregory, Shane Ray and Alvin “Bud” Dupree are all OLBs who could be taken in the first 10 picks of the draft.

McCloughan has been known to prefer big guys in the draft

WRs Amari Cooper and Kevin White are top rated prospects who could be taken in the first 10 picks as well. I don’t think McCloughan will go that route though as his best player available philosophy will most likely have a few of the pass rushers ahead of either of the top WRs.

Whoever the Redskins pick and at whatever draft spot they end up at, fans can feel more comfortable than they have in many years that the teams fortunes will take a positive turn. The draft is coming and the Redskins finally have a real football man in charge in Scot McCloughan.
