The Final Synopsis
There will be new blood for the Redskins defensive line in 2015. If Leonard Williams is available, the Redskins will sprint to the podium and make the choice. Williams would be the immediate starter at LDE and probably the best player on the line.
If Williams is not there, I see the Redskins picking a NT along the lines of Danny Shelton if they can trade down in the 1st round. If they miss out on Shelton, there are a few other options that they can look at in the 2nd round. They will add a player to the defensive line through the draft.
McCloughan is likely to add 1 or 2 players in free agency and 1 or 2 players in the draft
With the players currently under contract, McCloughan will probably go with Cofield at LE, Baker at NT and Hatcher at RE. Kearse, Nield, Golston and Robertson are in reserve with practice squad members Robert Thomas, Kenneth Horsley and Isaako Aaitui rounding out the unit.
However, McCloughan is likely to add 1 or 2 players in free agency and 1 or 2 in the draft. With an expected youth movement, Golston could be out of a job as well as Bowen.
