East-West Shrine game: 1/17/15 – 4:00 pm – NFL Network

Players to Watch – Cornerbacks

18.  Cam Thomas, CB – West. Kentucky (East) – (6-1, 190) Proj. Rd. – 4th. – Jersey #19

19.  Josh Shaw, CB – USC (West) – (6-1, 200) Proj. Round – 5th. – Jersey # 16

20.  Damian Swann, CB – Georgia (East) – (5-11, 180) Proj. Round – 7th. – Jersey # 5

21.  Bryce Callahan, CB – Rice (West) – (5-10, 185) Proj. Round – 7th. – Jersey # 26

The Redskins are very thin depth wise at the cornerback position, with only two quality talents at the position in Bashaud Breeland and David Amerson.  Injuries took a toll on the DeAngelo Hall and Tracy Porter, and their futures are uncertain, so more depth is needed at this critical position.

Western Kentucky’s Cam Thomas has good size and could follow in the line of physical corners that the Redskins have coveted in the past few drafts.  Josh Shaw also has good size and also has experience playing safety, but controversy surrounds him after he fabricated a story about getting injured while saving his drowning nephew.

Damian Swann and Bryce Callahan are corners who the Redskins could look at to play on the slot receiver.  Both are confident, brash type of competitors.
