Throw the Ball Away

Something that has hindered Griffin during his development as a quarterback, is his inability to make the smart play at times.

When he gets into trouble, and things breaks down, Griffin hasn’t made the right play and simply thrown the ball away. This causes the Redskins to have negative plays, which puts them in bad situations.

Jay Gruden is obviously tired of the mental mistakes that Griffin has made over the last two weeks, and hasn’t been shy about voicing it.

If there’s nothing there, be okay with moving on to the next play, be okay with settling for a punt at times — but, throw the ball away.
