Offense has to build chemistry

Washington has started three different quarterbacks this season, while also learning a new offense. Even though he’s missed six weeks, Griffin is the one that has gotten the most reps in Jay Gruden’s offense — whether in practice or during games — so transitioning back into the lineup shouldn’t be a problem.

But with so many quarterback changes throughout the season, how much chemistry does this Redskins’ offense have? Washington must begin to establish an identity on offense. While they have weapons across the board, they don’t have a “go-to” game plan.

Since Griffin and Alfred Morris were drafted in 2012, the Redskins have been known as a team that likes to run first. But, that was during Mike Shanahan’s coaching days. With Gruden at the helm, the Redskins have been more of a pass-happy team.

The teams in the NFL that win consistently go into each week knowing what they do well. I’m not so sure the Redskins have figured that out just yet.
