Six things Redskins fans can be Excited about

2.  A new head coach – Many Redskins fans were excited when Mike Shanahan was hired.  Four seasons of Steve Spurrier and Jim Zorn made the arrival of Mike Shanahan a relief for Redskins fans.  A relief to have a head coach who had an outstanding track record in the NFL.   But without the spark that RGIII provided in 2012, the Mike Shanahan era was also a dud for Redskins fans.

And now we look to Jay Gruden to hopefully bring a consistent winner to the Redskins.  With a new coach there’s a new energy a new optimism.  Gruden will be running a new offense and there is a push to get more aggressive on defense.  However, Redskins fans have gone through this before, so there’s no guarantee that Gruden will be any better than the rest.   But it will exciting finding out.
