4.  Nick Williams – Age: 23, 5-10, 184

Pros:

  • Has the ability to play special teams and can return punts and kickoffs.
  • Williams can play in the slot.  He has the quickness and shiftiness you look for at that spot.
  • At 23, he has youth on his side, and may just need some time to develop.

Cons:

  • Williams doesn’t have great size, and his measurables don’t particularly jump out at you.
  • He was given a chance to play late last season, but didn’t really capitalize on it.
  • Has to compete with a large group of other young receivers trying to make the roster.

Nick Williams made a good impression in training camp and preseason last year, and that earned him a spot on the practice squad.  He will need to impress again this year in order to make a similar impression on new head coach Jay Gruden.
