2.  Aldrick Robinson – Age: 25, 5-10, 184

Pros:

  • Aldrick Robinson is a true deep threat, and defenses must respect his speed.
  • He has the ability to blow the top off a defense, and open up intermediate areas in the zone.
  • Robinson is only 25 and has youth on his side.
  • He has an impressive career yard per catch average of 20.8 yards.

Cons:

  • Robinson is a deep threat, but he has yet to prove he can be a versatile route runner
  • He has great speed, but hasn’t been able translate that into being a good kick returner.
  • Doesn’t have great size, and there are other receivers with similar size higher on the depth chart.

Aldrick Robinson is entering his third season with the Redskins and he may be just coming into his own as a receiver.  He hasn’t gotten a lot of chances to show what he can do, but he needs to continue to flash his deep speed, and also show that his route running has improved.  He needs a big camp and preseason to make the team.    Redskins camp battles
