3. Jay Gruden, offensive coordinator – Cincinnati Bengals – Gruden has never been a head coach in the NFL, but was from his time in the arena league and the UFL.  Gruden has been the offensive coordinator for the Cincinnati Bengals the past two seasons, and has done a good job of developing Andy Dalton.   And the Bengals offense is ranked in the top 10 in the league this year.  And no need to mention who his brother is, as Gruden is a qualified candidate all on his own.    Redskins head coaching candidates.
