2016 NFL Draft: 5 Worst First Round Picks

Every year during the NFL Draft we see some team make very good picks but we also see teams make bad picks.  This year was no different.  In the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft there were a handful of teams that made some questionable picks.

Most of these picks were teams that reached and took players a little higher than could have.  Other teams took players at a position that weren’t needs. Each team has it’s own scouting department, their own draft board and their own philosophy as to how to conduct their drafts.

But the object to winning the draft is to gain value and not lose it.  But some teams fall in love with a player and it doesn’t matter to them where outside sources value that player.  But if you take a player that is ranked consistently lower than the consensus then you lose value.

None of these players are bad players but the teams that drafted them took them at bad spots in the round one.  Here is a list of teams that I believe made the five worst picks in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
