Commanders must thwart Dominique Robinson

Backup defensive end Dominique Robinson is offering the Chicago Bears a big body capable of creating pressure in obvious passing situations. Former Pro Bowler Yannick Ngakoue will likely be the primary focus for the Washington Commanders' offensive line, but it would be a mistake not to pay special attention to his teammate when possible.

The nifty edge-rusher has been in on a sack and also generated three pressures and two hurries during his time on the field in 2023 to date. No. 91 wins with hustle and closes quickly once he gets a quarterback in his sights.

While far from dominant off the edge, Robinson is disruptive enough to hurry Sam Howell into the type of mistakes that would give hope to a team the Commanders otherwise know they can beat.

The big question mark in all this centers on the offensive line. It's been a mixed bag from the group throughout games, with the offensive tackle tandem of Andrew Wylie and Charles Leno Jr. going through complications, especially where the right-edge protector is concerned.

Finding a way to counteract Robinson and the Bears front seven will be critical to the team's chances. If Howell gets time to thrive, his production at the Philadelphia Eagles is enough to suggest he can have similar success on primetime.
