Jayden Daniels - Commanders QB

This list would not be complete with the new face of the franchise.

The Heisman Trophy winner from LSU is being looked at as the next savior of the Washington Commanders. Yet, there is also a plan in place that new management is going to give Jayden Daniels all the help he needs through all three phases of the team.

With a schedule that doesn't seem too daunting to open, perhaps Daniels can get on an early roll and begin to gain some confidence at the next level. It would be huge and could inspire further hope within the locker room that the Commanders have finally found their guy.

Because to be honest, until a quarterback shows himself worthy in D.C., the rest of the roster is not truly going to believe they have a chance to make the playoffs. This was a humongous draft pick for the Commanders. With all of the other quarterbacks drafted early, they are all going to be compared to one another for the next several years.

The Commanders don't want to be looking back in two or three years talking about yet another failed quarterback. Daniels has a chance to make Washington's long-suffering fanbase forget about all of the pain, turmoil, and embarrassment the organization has gone through for the last few decades. It's a big challenge, but one the No. 2 pick is going to relish.

It begins in 2024. If Daniels can come out of the gates and show why he won the Heisman, how he threw 40 touchdowns to four interceptions and was the most dynamic player in all of college football last year, then the Commanders will have a legitimate chance at making the playoffs in his rookie season.

Daniels has a tremendous chance to turn this franchise around. A bad rookie season would deflate all of that.
