Commanders could sign Foster Moreau

Foster Moreau had his chance to shine with the Las Vegas Raiders in 2022 as Darren Waller missed significant time. But, unfortunately, he did not take full advantage of this opportunity.

In a contract year, this is a huge disappointment for Moreau as potential long-term deals were likely lost. It might also see the Raiders cut their losses with Waller expected to make a full return to health next season.

Moreau’s receiving skill set isn’t very dynamic as he won’t get himself open much. Although when the former LSU standout does get the ball, he is able to rack up yards after contact.

A good player comparison for Moreau would be a less-talented George Kittle. This is down to the player being a good run-blocker to make up for his limitations in speed.

This likely won’t be a popular choice for the Washington Commanders as he is nowhere near similar to Travis Kelce. Not even close, actually.

At 26 years old, the potential and opportunity to grow into a better receiver under Eric Bieniemy make Moreau an intriguing option that wouldn’t cost the earth. Whether there is enough in the player’s locker for the assistant head coach/offensive coordinator to work his magic is the bigger conundrum.
