Commanders vs. Giants – Weeks 13 and 15

Both of these games were agonizingly close during this three-week stretch with the bye week sandwiched in between. Ultimately, they doomed the Washington Commanders’ playoff hopes.

The first game was a tie and the second was hotly contested until the closing seconds. It’s clearly obvious that both games should’ve been victories for the Commanders until they shot themselves in the foot multiple times against their NFC East rivals.

These are the five games that could’ve been relatively easy victories with Eric Bieniemy leading Washington’s offense. Washington finished the season at 8-8-1, but it is nice to fantasize about a 13-4 season under his leadership.

Bieniemy won’t care all that much. He was too busy playing a significant role in yet another memorable Super Bowl triumph for the Kansas City Chiefs, which closed the book on his glittering spell with the franchise.

How will 2023 Commanders fare with Bieniemy at the helm of Washington’s offense? That question brings a lot of hope and smiles to fans. There are no guarantees going forward, but don’t bet against their newest coach.

See you as we go along.
