Commanders could target Ben Powers

  • Offensive Guard | Baltimore Ravens

When guards Trai Turner and Andrew Norwell were signed during free agency last year, they were expected to bolster an offensive line with improvements in pass protection and open holes in the running game. The analytics on both players is low.

Ben Powers figures to be a hot prospect during this free agency cycle, but he is still flying under the radar after a very impressive season with the Baltimore Ravens. If the former fourth-round pick hits the market, he is an obvious upgrade.

Commanders could target Nate Davis

  • Offensive Guard | Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans have a massive negative cap for 2023 and need to make major adjustments. Nate Davis will be a free agent and his current franchise has to make some tough decisions.

Davis is solid, but not spectacular. However, he is an obvious upgrade. Look for the Washington Commanders to examine his credentials next month.

Commanders could target Ethan Pocic

  • Center | Cleveland Browns

The Cleveland Browns are another team in the red on their 2023 cap and they face several tough choices. Pending free agents include Kareem Hunt, Amari Cooper, Jedrick Wills, and Ethan Pocic.

Pocic could be ripe for the taking. He is a solid center and while his contract would be a tad expensive, it might be worth the investment.

Offensive tackles were omitted from this list for a reason. The current free-agent crop is simply too expensive.
