1. The Reality Is, home field has to start meaning something.

Washington has basically had a negative home field advantage more often than not over the last two decades of Snyder’s reign of terror.

But with guys like Terry McLaurin, Jon Allen, Brian Robinson, Daron Payne, Tress Way and Taylor Heinicke on the roster, combined with the recent momentum the team has cultivated on the field, maybe, just maybe, this team will start to gain some positives from playing at their home stadium.

If the Commanders continue to stack wins, it will be fascinating to see if there’s a tipping point for the fans to “come back” to FedEx Field over the next few weeks. This fanbase deserves that kind of environment…and these players have earned it, too. None of the fans or the players are responsible for the erosion of the fanbase, but both groups are experiencing the results of decades of mismanagement of the organization.

A prolonged run this season would be a massive step in the right direction for the fanbase. Would it be the start of re-building home field? Can’t know for sure, but one this is for sure…the constant rollercoaster around .500 isn’t going to be enough. Here’s hoping for another baby step in the right direction Sunday.
