2. Passing offense should show signs of life

The Titans’ run defense may not be a juggernaut but their pass defense certainly makes their run defense seem elite.

After Week 4, Mike Vrabel’s side is tied for the fourth-most passing yards allowed (1,096). Moreover, they’re allowing quarterbacks to complete 67.8% of their passes, their 7.7 yards per attempt allowed is the third-most, and their 10 passing touchdowns allowed is tied for the most in the league.

See what we’re saying? If there was ever a matchup for Washington’s stagnant passing attack to get back on track, it’s this week. In the last two games, Carson Wentz is completing 58.8% of his passes for 190.5 yards, 4.5 yards per attempt (worst in the NFL), a 63.9 passer rating and one TD to two interceptions.

We’d still like Washington to emphasize the run in this matchup, but the passing game should show signs of life after two straight stinkers. If Wentz and Co. can’t get back on track in this get-right matchup, it might be time for the Commanders to entertain the idea of making a change at quarterback.
