1. Cole Holcomb

What a performance from Cole Holcomb, who has really evolved into a capable three-down linebacker in the second half of the year.

He was simply flying all over the field on Sunday. He should’ve had the defense’s only sack, but weirdly opted against wrapping up Jalen Hurts before the whistle was blown, resulting in Jamin Davis getting the credit.

Holcomb finished the game with a team-high 11 tackles, one of which was of the touchdown-saving variety on a Boston Scott goal-line carry. The Eagles scored on the very next play, but this tackle was the definition of elite.

The former fifth-round pick also had a gorgeous pass breakup where he showed tremendous wherewithal to avoid a pass interference penalty. He wasn’t quite in position to turn around and make a play on the ball, but got his hands up at the catch point to make sure the Eagles’ receiver couldn’t haul it in.

Holcomb was sublime on Sunday, and we’d really like to know what his ceiling could be if he was paired with just an above-average running mate, because he’s pretty much been a one-man army at the LB position all year.

We won’t go as far as to say that Holcomb has earned a new extension with the franchise, but if he continues on this trajectory into next campaign, it might be time for Washington to break out the old checkbook.
