Winner: Terry McLaurin

No, McLaurin wasn’t a winner in the stat sheet. He finished with just three catches for 40 yards on six targets and didn’t log his first reception until the fourth quarter.

However, he’s another player we can applaud for actually showing some spine late in the game when the scoreline was out of hand.

McLaurin came down with a gorgeous jump ball in garbage time and chased down DeMarcus Lawrence on his first quarter pick-six and even tackled the star DE after he had already crossed the end zone.

The 26-year-old phenom continues to be a bright spot for a franchise that is otherwise stuck in a perpetual state of mediocrity.

Loser(s): Jonathan Allen and Daron Payne

By all accounts, Jonathan Allen and Daron Payne were the only members of Washington’s defense that showed up Sunday night. They former Alabama teammates combined for six pressures and a sack of Dak Prescott.

However, their performance isn’t what’s being talked about.

With the game spiraling out of control for Washington, Allen and Payne got into it a scuffle on the sidelines that culminated in Allen throwing a punch (that didn’t connect) after Payne shoved his finger in Allen’s face.

The two standout DL have since come out and thrown cold water on the coming together, but it was still a terrible optic for the franchise, which was already in line for a tongue-lashing for its rancid performance.

Hopefully this exchange can light a fire under a locker that seems to have been stripped of all confidence.
